Description
Persimmons are abundant in northern New Zealand, including Gisborne (about 28% of the area), North and South Auckland (accounting for 20% of the area). Other areas include Northland, Bay of Plenty and Hawkes Bay.
About a quarter of New Zealand’s Hong production is exported, of which New Zealand’s main market is Australia.
